JAlbum, so far the best

Since taking up digital photography in 2000, I have been organizing my photos and I am always looking for the easiest way to create a nice photo browser interface or application to share them with friends and family.

After trying different photo album generators, I found JAlbum, and this application has all the bells and whistles that I have always wanted.

Since I already have my photos organized in folders (year, month and sequential number with short description), I can simply point JAlbum to a year folder, and then it generates a really nice browseable set of html pages with thumbnails, reduced size photos with a watermark and nice dhtml/JavaScript navigation features that makes it very simple to navigate a specific album with the keyboard, or just start a slideshow.

It comes with a number of predefined skins and themes and you can also customize your own. I have just redone all my albums and life is good ;-)
